transport, bus station and more in Dear fellow travelers, today I want to show you some pictures of the traffic and transport in Laos. Let's start with a bus station. This is run in Pakse and the "buses" from here to south. There is another, which serves the northern directions.
The main square is completely unpaved, the wind is blowing red dust clouds through grisly cross. The Lao people do not seem to bother-perhaps it is now unusual for them calm? For us, we look for wind and sun shade, from where we can observe the action.

Of course, always!

The waiting time is used effectively: pedicure ...

A little better than this car ...
was TukTuk ... our bus for "4000 islands" in the border area with Cambodia after all. However, our trip was already after 200 Meters apparently ended, the driver got out, phoned and was gone for 35 minutes. Not without first cashed our fare. All 12 occupants were at a loss until at some point stopped and started another TukTuk a pretty young Laotian us. Well, at least a welcome sight, the driver was suddenly back, and our 2.5 hour drive (driving distance 45 km) could finally begin. Daily objective was Champasak, a place with a 2000 year old temple ruins on the other side of the Mekong. How about on the "ferry" across and then looked like the temple ruins, learn their morning.
one I have: tire recycling in Laos. are from old truck tires Garbage containers manufactured. You see them everywhere, not only on our bus station. That seems a profitable business to be.
And one more thing fits so nicely on the topic: While waiting on the Laotian all the time I had this shop for scooter tires and oil bottles in sight.
